The Redwings came out fast in this one, jumping to a 7-0 lead on the visiting Bulldogs. Mason then went on a run to tie it up at 7, but Isabel Thelen(24) hit a three point shot that sparked a 7-0 run. Redwings up 14-7 after the first period.
The Redwings were shutout in the second quarter and Mason was within one (14-13) until Jocelyn Kotowicz (50) nailed a three pointer! with 1:45 left in the half, Madison Robinson (32) hit a post up shot for 2. 2 points down low for Grace Dobernick (34) and the lead was 21-15 at the half.
The teams traded shots in the 3rd and it was 28-23 going into the fourth. Mason mounted a charge and were within 2 with four minutes to play. Rebounds were the key for the Redwings as Taylor Cook (54) and Lillian Sackrider (44) both grabbed boards and followed them up with put back scores. The Bulldogs pulled within 3 with 2:20 left, but Joce Kotowicz (50) added another 3 (of her team high 11 points) to put the team back up by 6. Foul shots kept Mason close, but free throws by Alexis Maloney (22) and Kotowicz put it away. 41-35 Redwings over the Mason Bulldogs.
