The Redwings hosted Okemos last night for the first high school basketball games of the season! The Freshman and JV teams both played well, winning by large margins. The Varsity team started slow and had to deal with some early injuries but came on strong late in the game. With 3.8 seconds left the Redwings tied up the game sending it to overtime. The team was up by five in the overtime period, but ultimately could not hold on, falling by three. The exciting finish is a good sign that this team will be working hard and getting stronger as the season goes on.
JV and Varsity will travel to Grand Ledge on Thursday, the Freshman team will travel to Shepherd on Friday. Go Redwings!
