Congratulations to Ella Schafer, who has been named the M.I.S.C.A. – Michigan Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association, Greater Lansing Swimmer of the Year! The junior had and outstanding season for the Redwings, leading them to a 13th place finish in the Division 3 State Finals, while capturing Individual All State Honors in the 100 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke. She set new school records in each event.
Congratulations also, to Katarina Schaefer for being named to the All-Area Swim Team. The junior’s season was highlighted with All State Honors in the 200 Freestyle and All State second-team honors in the 100 Butterfly.
Redwing Natalie Ott (10) was selected to the MISCA Second Team along with Diving Coach, Stacie Smith.
Honorable Mention honors went to AJ Longoria (10), Madelyn Sweckard (10), diver Lindsey Smith (10) and Coach Chris Brewbaker.
