The game started with the Redwings in control. Alex Owen’s sacrifice fly scored Joe Leonard from third and the Redwings were up 1-0. Murray Palmatier scored on Brennan Feldpausch’s sacrifice fly in the second and it was 2-0.
The Cougars scored 3 runs in the third and then added 1 in both the fifth and sixth innings and the Redwings found themselves in a 5-2 hole going into the bottom of the 6th.
Landon Mikula was hit by a pitch to start the inning and a single by Alex Owen drove him to third. Logan Kielen belted a drive to centerfield that scored Mikula (3-5). Brody Kusnier doubled to left field to score Owen (4-5). Murray Palmatier got on base with an infield single, Jacob Bones drove a single to right. Palmatier was out at 2nd, but the Redwings had runners on the corners. Brennan Feldpausch doubled to drive in Kusnier (5-5). Logan Dunham singled up the middle to score Bones and Feldpausch.
