Boys Varsity Swimming Head Coach

On Thursday, January 9, St. Johns Boys swimming and diving team hosted  Alma High School for a dual meet. The Redwings won the meet with the Panthers by a score of 115-51.

“The boys had a very good meet. We are just coming off a very physically demanding two week training session over the Christmas break so we had hoped to see some good races tonight. Alma brought in a small team but they have a couple of quality kids that really pushed our guys in individual and relay events. We competed well and we saw a lot of very good performances from our guys,” said coach Kim Brewbaker. St. Johns won eight of the 12 events and turned in 24 individual season best performances. In addition all of their relays also improved their times. “We expect a lot from our kids and they lived up to those expectations tonight. We have a long road ahead of us and it just gets harder. If we can stay healthy for the most part, we expect to see good results,” added Brewbaker. St. Johns next competition will be at home on Thursday Jan. 23. The meet will begin at 6:00 pm.
