Hunter Wylie is a sophomore at St. Johns High School who represents St. Johns in the Michigan High School Rodeo Association. Earlier this summer, Hunter and his partner won the second go around of the team roping competition at the State Finals and qualified for Nationals in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
Hunter also plays Quarterback and Linebacker for the Redwings JV football team and is hoping to play 1st base in the upcoming season of High School Baseball (his freshman season of baseball was cancelled). We were excited to sit down with him and learn all about Rodeo and about what it take to compete at such a high level.
“Thank you to everyone that has helped me get this far including my stepfather, mom and grandmother. I couldn’t have done it without them.” Hunter Wylie
